The Group F Club World Cup match between South Korea’s Ulsan Hyundai and South Africa’s Mamelodi Sundowns was delayed on Tuesday due to a weather warning.
The game, scheduled to kick off at 6:00 pm local time (2200 GMT) at Orlando’s Inter&Co Stadium, saw both teams step onto the pitch before the referee called them back because of the alert.
The stadium, which holds 25,500 spectators, remained almost empty just before the planned start time. While clouds hovered over the venue, no storm had yet begun.
Broadcaster DAZN reported that the match was now expected to begin an hour later, at 7:00 pm local time.
