Tinubu Media Volunteers Hail PHC Upgrades as Milestone in Health Reform

The Tinubu Media Volunteers (TMV) have lauded the Federal Government of Nigeria for the successful upgrade of 901 Primary Healthcare Centres (PHCs) across the country, describing the development as a significant milestone in advancing President Bola Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda in the health sector.

In a statement released on Tuesday, TMV Chairman Mr Chukwudi Enekwechi praised the initiative, noting that the revitalisation effort reflects the administration’s dedication to improving public health and ensuring access to essential services for all Nigerians.

“We note that as part of the federal government’s plan to provide one functional PHC in every ward of the country, a total of 901 PHCs have been revitalised in the past year,” Enekwechi said.

He explained that the overarching aim is to ensure 24-hour healthcare services nationwide, aligning with President Tinubu’s commitment to comprehensive and accessible health delivery.

Enekwechi also pointed to the ongoing rehabilitation of over 2,700 more PHCs, expressing optimism that these projects will be completed before the year ends.

“The administration is focused on delivering its campaign promises, and the revitalisation of these PHCs demonstrates clear progress in the health sector,” he added.

He refuted claims that the health sector is being neglected, insisting that the current administration is steadily establishing a robust and sustainable healthcare system.

“With the successes recorded so far, we can say without equivocation that the health sector is getting a new lease of life under President Tinubu.”

The TMV called on citizens to remain patient and supportive, assuring that the government is making deliberate efforts to transform all sectors of the economy for the benefit of the population at large.
