Timberwolves’ Edwards Fined for Throwing Ball After Ejection
The NBA fined Minnesota Timberwolves player Anthony Edwards $35,000 on Saturday for throwing a ball into the stands after being disqualified from a game on Thursday and failing to leave the field.
With this season’s sixth fine, Edwards has now been hit with $320,000 in fines.
He has received punishment for several infractions, such as using profanity in talks with the media and making an offensive gesture in court.
He received his second technical foul of the game on Thursday for jawing with a referee, which led to his ejection from the Timberwolves’ loss to the Los Angeles Lakers.
Earlier in the game, he and Lakers forward Jarred Vanderbilt exchanged shoves and were both given technical fouls.

After receiving two technical fouls, Edwards’ season total reached 16, earning him an automatic one-game ban, which he served during Friday’s Minnesota loss to the Utah Jazz.
Suspensions will be increased for every two more technicals.
Chris Finch, the coach of the Timberwolves, stated this week that “he has to get better.”
“He’s lost his temper too much. Many, in my opinion, are deserving. He has to get better because they will undoubtedly miss some calls from time to time. We have been discussing this with him. Thus, he is responsible.”
